Just returned from a servicing. When I bought it from a private seller here on OF he advertised it as "runs perfectly, as expected."
That turned out to be over 3 minutes fast when I got it, with him saying that's good for a watch this age. Lol!
Now I'm no expert but it runs 12 seconds fast, dial up - that's much closer to "runs perfect." In my opinion at least.
Great improvement, also has a heart of a lion with that amplitude. Enjoy it for many years to come.

National Pocket Watch Day? Good idea, but by whose decree? I鈥檓 involved in a watch & clock appraisal clinic at our local historic park on Saturday. And it was time to decide which pocket watch I would carry. Hmmmmmm! This one! My Hamilton grade 941 which is the hunter cased version of the venerable grade 940, a popular railroad standard pocket watch. I鈥檒l wear it on my late maternal grandfather鈥檚 9-karat Waldemar chain with an 1897 English half-sovereign coin and 14-karat gold pocket knife. I鈥檒l wear it Good Friday (today) on my @DaveK leather mystery
