This "Mohawk" started as a ref. SRP633 salesman's sample. No movement, hands mounted on an arbor taped to the back of the dial, cut sections of the day and date wheel taped also, no case back gasket, weird looking crystal. I bought a new 4R36 movement, all new seals, I broke the crown stem so I had to go aftermarket and get a new crown and cut a new stem, and a new flat sapphire crystal with internal AR. It took some time, but it all came together. Not too bad for a first timer.
This beautifully temperamental Viceroy. It's back from its second service in under a year. At least round 2 was under warranty. It's teaching me a lot about the pain points of maintaining rarer vintage movements... But it looks so cool!
