Andy's (@STANDY) Seiko, been on the wrist since Wednesday afternoon and now keeping good time.

I've grown quite attached to it but I 'spose I'll have to send it back to him now (I've only had it for about six months 馃榿).

What's another month to a good guy like @STANDY 馃槈

You guys (shucks) What is 6 months in the repair game @Alpha

Thanks both of you. Two gems among many

And @JimInOz thanks for all the ordering and going that extra to re lume the hands due to not being happy yourself with the new ones (still want to know if you can tattoo lume) and all the times you would have pulled it apart to get it right 馃憤馃憤馃憤馃憤馃憤

These guys : http://www.jean-rousseau.com

They have a little studio in Midtown ... They have a lot of nice straps and also custom design and make anything you want. A lot of French luxury goods brands actually out source their strap manufacture to them. I was there doing something else and the NATOs had just arrived...
If you fancy getting something, ask for Kelly, and tell her Lee sent you 馃槈馃憤[/QUOTThanks a lot but they don't have online store. i am looking to get that same nato for my new SM300.

What's the story behind that bracelet? Did I miss a thread?

My research pushes the date to early to mid 1960's since the detailing is so fine compared to later ones I've seen. It is personalized on the underside of the attachment.

The Omega Extract says the watch was produced January 5, 1967 and delivered to the USA. (Watch and bracelet were bought together)

The symbol at 6 signifies Diver First Class for the US Services, Navy, Marine even Army at the time. At 12, the universal symbol for diving.

It is very ruggedly made out of a very substantial grade of 100% stainless steel, fits me perfectly, allowing the watch to rest ideally on my wrist, comfortably.

Both go together like peas and carrots, as Forrest would say.

Got a 50 hour PR LAST 2 days!

And the other wrist (just for timing check purposes after regulation, of course):

..and soon to be very functional, as I am about to time the 5K Road race:

Not really sure how I麓ve managed to be into vintage watches for so long and before this week had never had any kind of triple date or moonphase in my collection. It is very refreshing and feel like a whole new niche has opened up for me 馃榾

Way before the 70s.

There was almost a right of passage for any servicemen docking/landing/lobbing there.

As soon as you stepped off:

1. Get an Olongapo bracelet in your service style for your watch.
2. Hit a bar and down San Mig in boat races.
3. Get a tatt.
4. Go visit a ............ (Oh, better leave that one out 馃槈).

You forgot the monkey meat.
