Finally, some the rain this morning in North Texas. Fiona is more interested in the squirrels.

How could squirrels be more interesting than watches?

Love the shark tooth markers. I saw a ref just like this at Costco a couple weeks ago and thought it was a Seiko but couldn't be certain. Love the orange.

Four of us are in the formative stages of preparing for our railroad standard pocket watch (88 of them), railroad standard wrist watch (20 of those), and railroad standard wall clock display at our local historic park. This takes place mid-September, and activities include a real steam locomotive, lots of rolling stock, turn table demonstrations, spike driving contests, model train layouts, and the list goes on. So today I will don a 57-year old Accutron Railroader, and likely wear it until the show starts.

Very cool field watch vibes there, what reference is this?

It is an SRP715 with the Seiko 24-jewel 4R36 movement. It came out around 2015 and was current for about five years. I got this one new on a close out deal in about 2019. I like Arabic numeral markers. When I got it I ruefully told Mrs. noelekal that it was my "old man's easy reader" watch.

Couldn’t choose today, but aren’t they just beautiful? Vintage Omega at its best …

Like father, like son …?
Like daughter. She’ll be a watch wearer forever. Thing 1, her older brother, not so much. Thanks for asking!
