Severe thunderstorm warnings. Making this few week long oppressive humidity streak worse. But my watch is well protected from the rain, which is about as deep as I dive.

I tried to take advantage of the lighting at my kids’ birthday party:

Obviously not wearing but decided to give the 1944 JLC travel clock an outing.

Sometimes it's relaxing to just throw on a simple quartz watch, no date-setting, no winding, just grab-and-go ... and you needn't even miss out on classic art deco styling and movable lugs, either 😀
