An example of one of what was considered by many to be the most successful early railroad standard wrist watches. An Accutron 214 Railroader from 1965. Almost 60 years old! “Canadian” 24-hour dial. I have no recollection of where I acquired this one. So many of these have fallen into my lap over decades. I had a devil of a time trying to find out why this one would run well OUT of the case, but it wouldn’t run IN the case. I changed the hatch cover over the cell, and voila, it runs. Obviously a cell contact problem.

Brought my speedy to Mt. Rushmore the other day. Trip of a lifetime and wanted to share this particular part of the adventure with my speedmaster.

Put an Uncle Seiko 1162 bracelet with the milled push button clasp (total $125) on my 1973 MKII, a nice piece of kit as the original bracelet was pretty well stretched out. I had this watch overhauled 3 years ago which included a case refinish, but the hands and dial are original, and the mineral crystal dates from a previous overhaul in 1980. I should wear this more than I do, it was a wedding present from my wife 51 years ago, I remember she paid $165 for it.

You have pin that has worked its way through the clasp. Needs a little attention.
