An old watch my father-in-law wore years ago which came to us recently. It was in my dresser drawer and running so was a hurried choice before church this morning.
An example of one of what was considered by many to be the most successful early railroad standard wrist watches. An Accutron 214 Railroader from 1965. Almost 60 years old! “Canadian” 24-hour dial. I have no recollection of where I acquired this one. So many of these have fallen into my lap over decades. I had a devil of a time trying to find out why this one would run well OUT of the case, but it wouldn’t run IN the case. I changed the hatch cover over the cell, and voila, it runs. Obviously a cell contact problem.
