Were at Globen and visited Svante yesterday. Had a long look at the SBGJ003. Very tempted. One thing all these modern Grand Seiko: s have in common are that they are totally magical in real life but that does not come thru in pictures to the same extent.
Cool! The watch was bought there in august last year 馃榾 More people must try the Grand Seikos, fantastic watches and the amount of details in these pieces is mind blowing. Har du n氓gon GS idag? 馃榾

I do have a vintage one and used to have a modern. As I wrote - I am very tempted again. They are great.

This just came, I am quite happy with it. Will try to find some way to clean the dial a bit. Any suggestions?

Looks good. I suggest not messing with it. Risk:reward ratio is too high. 馃榾

OK, the bad news first: there is no second time zone. The good news: if the crown at 9 o'clock turns the hands in the upper subdial, it's working!

Aha, so actually the 2nd time zone is for manual adjustment? Super dumb me, thanks for the enlightenment! Yep it turns manually properly so I guess i received the watch in very good order (it is indeed from Armenia, but hey this guy is a good seller)

It should be a second time zone. That would make sense for something called an Aero-Compax, maybe aimed at pilot types, and would actually be useful. Unfortunately, it's just a dummy dial to be used as a reminder, without so much as an alarm. But it looks good!

Hahaha, not joking as I honestly didn't know it was a memento dial. First vintage aero compax for me. Had another modern one though but a 24 hour it is.
