Are wrist watch collectors interested in such details?

Well, this one certainly is! I didn't know that Hamilton used to dye Elinvar blue, and found that super interesting ... technical progress has fans, and then there are those who don't like it. Even over 90 years ago ;-)

Plus, that movement is just plain gorgeous. The looks on these old American pocket watches are breathtaking at times.

Good day all. A favorite from the dress watch drawer. 1961 Seamaster 14761 with a curtain dial. They don’t make ‘em like this anymore. 🙁

Rest in peace, Tom Stafford. His signature is on my 3191.50's authenticity card from 1992. I believe he was on Omega's Board of Directors at the time.

Speedy Tuesday has been turning into Speedy Monday through Sunday. Reached for the old school, recently serviced, Seamaster. It hasn’t been getting enough love of late. Cheers, all!
