I’ve owned my Rolex Oyster Date-Just now for 34 years. Over that time, I have conditioned it four times, and replaced the mainspring when it broke, back in 2000. I decided a month or so ago that it needed a full spa treatment at Rolex in Toronto, so after a full technical revision, new rotor post, new mainspring barrel, mainspring, Oyster crown & case tube, and synthetic sapphire “Cyclops” crystal, it is back on my wrist. I had the option of replacing the dial and hands, but the originals are perfect, so why bother! In 48-hours on the wrist, it shows NO variation in rate! I’m very pleased!

Back to keeping the sort of time it has over most of the 34 years I’ve owned it. One second slow in 4 days! (Maybe my iPad has gained a second over 4days!)

You sir, have nice watches. That lanyard has developed patina like an old ball glove 🥰

The medallion on the back of your Neptune is fantastic. What is the year of manufacture?
Thank you. Uncertain as to date. My best guess is late 1960s or early 1970s.

Currently at the gym and have reduced from almighty quadruple dogging to double dogging with my 1861 and 3861…my Elgin railroad machines are safely stored in the almighty Levi’s 511 stretchy watchroll…which works pretty well as stretchy pants too…

Just blowing off some steam, trying to not think about the next few busy days at work (it's good stress though - business is just growing too fast... 🙄)
