·Returned today from my watchmaker: IWC Yacht Club Ref. 811AD, dating to 1969 and on the original Gay Frères bracelet (dated 3/69, IWC bracelet no. 13). This one has the 8541B movement, and from the looks of it, it was never serviced before - so high time to do it. But my watchmaker was really enthusiastic about the condition of the movement (and the watch in general).
Well, I'm absolutely besotted... I spent a long time researching the Yacht Club, and I knew these are genuinely nice, but I had no idea how nice, really.
So, perfect start for the week-end for me. Wishing you all a great end-of-the-week, as well 😀
