This Gruen, today. A manual wind day/date. Not something often seen. I wear it so seldom that I have to retrain myself as to getting the day and date correct, every time I wear it. At the date change, the date changes first, the day very quickly thereafter. The day can be backed up, the date can’t. Set it ahead until the date is correct, then back it up until the correct DAY shows. Then continue backing up until you reach the correct TIME. A pain in the derrière to set. But I’ve worn an auto wind watch without the date for a while, and that also is a pain.
Beautiful 103 @Dsloan! Is this new for you; I don’t recall having seen you post this previously? The manual wound 103 released earlier this week looks really nice too.

I've had it for awhile but have been slow to go get it repaired.... 😵💫
Decided to wear it today to remind myself that I should pony up and drop it off in PA this year.
Its #9 of a 100 piece limited edition. Apparently, the colors are based on a Cessna 140 color scheme.
Speedy Day Date from 1998. It's never boring - will it run today +1 s/d or -10 s/d? Will the dial suck or will it be beautiful today in the current weather? Will the lume be amazing when walking into the shadows on a bright day or will it suck at night? Will be the bracelet cool today or will the sailcloth need to dress it down? Will the day of the month hand cover info on the dial today or not? 3520.50 is not a watch - it's a relationship 😉.
