Some Bullish 80's today.

With screw down crown and bracelet dive suit extender.
When I bought it the watch had been used as a dive watch with extensive signs of it's dive history and was no longer working due to water ingress so it was a very satisfying restoration.

Time to doff the Speedmaster which I have worn for two weeks. Bloody thing annoys me! I forget to wind it once in a while. I did, again, yesterday! Time to change to one that winds itself. Bought at a farm yard sale for $2.00 (she was asking for 50 cents). This had been a farmer’s watch, and looked it. Didn’t run, dial a mess. (To those who might like to point it out 🤦, yes, the dial has been refinished!) it needed rotor post, condition, mainspring, re-do dial, chrome plate case, crystal, crown. Worth repair. An emphatic NO! But I like it. It has the venerable Kurth Freres calibre 25-651 self-winder in it. A movement I quite like.

I appreciate this because you do it for the watch, and for you. Not for “collector value”. A tip of the hat to you, sir.

Still this. Somewhat ironic the sunray pattern only appears in artificial light…

Not a particularly good watch day today, had an appointment with my watchmaker, but he was ill ... hope he gets better soon, so I can ambush him with a plethora of projects. In the meantime, I'm wearing this quartz watch, a Certina Newport Ref. 129.3026.41 made in ca. 1982.

Good day all. 1958 Seamaster CK2990 “Seachero” with some pretty potent radium lume.
