Same watch, every day for the past several weeks.

I took off the deployant and swapped back to the stock buckle on the Uncle (Seiko) Horween leather strap. It fits a bit better and is more comfortable for some reason. I love this strap!

A post by @bristnj earlier today - a very handsome Caravelle “Sea Hunter” with original coffin link Caravelle bracelet and period advertisement - motivated me to delve into the Caravelle box.

The late 1960s Sea Hunters were beautifully proportioned thin dive watches that really hug the wrist. I picked up this 1969 Sea Hunter “in pieces” a few years back, complete except for hands. I was fortunate to find a date correct NOS 11DP movement with correct hands which I bought for “beer money” to complete the watch.

Sea Hunters are definitely worth adding to your collection if you run across one…you won’t be disappointed. While Caravelle was Bulova’s “budget” brand, relying primarily upon Japanese movements to keep costs down, they did from time to time power models with Swiss movements. There are Sea Hunters having a Swiss automatic movement…a very nice and collectible timepiece.

Cheers!
Nice save!!! 👍

Sticking with this one for a while.

Bald eagle in the background. Sitting there about 30 minutes now.
