I've never felt so strange posting a WRUW photo, as it now seems like such a trifling thing to do. Everything around me now looks different, cast in an unfamiliar light, alternating with ominous shadows. For the past two weeks, our children and grandchildren have spent parts of each day (and night) in bomb shelters, and our sons-in-law sleeping each night in trenches along the border with Lebanon. Being able to glance at my watch to see what time it is where
they are has never been so important to me, as it is now.
I recognize that the mere mention of these circumstances can elicit strong emotions from people of goodwill, who possess a wide range of perspectives on the world around us. I'm also confident that we share a common desire for a world where peace and goodwill prevail above all else.
