Last Saturday the new hands were installed. My model had a white second hand, where according to Omega a steel second hand is original. The crown and pin were also replaced. Unfortunately, the seconds hand also looks white in this picture, but so it is steel....

There are a lot of models available with the white second hand, anyone knows if thats also original?

Sternglas, the Junghans-ish case, hands, lines&fonts and the Nomos Orion-ish lens shaped sapphire seem worked quite well together. Graphics of the dial is effortless. Good job!

It’s been over a week since I’ve worn this one. Longest stretch since I got it!

A quick trip to DFW to retrieve our daughter-in-law today. When this Longines was new in 1949 air travel, airports, and airliners would be a much different (in some ways much better) experience.

Our own Mad Dog could have been flying us in DC-3's for one thing.
