Not much they can do there. They fulfilled their obligation it's on the delivery service to fulfill their's. Was there insurance on the package?
I could never understand why people put it on the seller when they've done their part for the consumer and has a proven honesty record. If there's fault anywhere it's with the shipper the issue lies with them.
The pitfalls of e-commerce and the worst of them is each party having to rely on a shipping service so each party shares that grief.
Hopefully insurance was purchased as that's where the next step lies for the shipper to compensate the buyer.
