Still wearing this one, it’s a good beater for the farm, but I’ll switch it up for Friday night.

Last sail of the summer.
Oh, no!

My TriCompax hasn’t gone sailing yet, but I know it won’t be long.. the evenings are much cooler and more comfortable here in Oklahoma… and mine’s a Hunter 24 sloop on the lake:

Hopefully not the last sail of the fall however. Nice rig. What lake is that?

. Of course, not, I just realized I’ve had my last sail of the summer, too! :whipped:

I’m on Lake Hefner. A fairly small but windy reservoir in Oklahoma City.

Wishing you all a great week-end!

Today I thought I'd "document" the change-over from working-week-watch to week-end-watch. I can barely believe that I have worn my Ultra-Chron almost for two weeks straight (except for one or two rainy days), must be some sort of record for me. It did lead a hard life, but my watchmaker took good care of it and now it's running again at chronometer standard. I'm really impressed by the quality of the 6651 movement.

I switched to another "recent returnee" from the watchmaker, a Hamilton Wesley-B from the late 1950s. This was one of their larger offerings at the time, with 18mm lug width, and a model that I had been looking for for some time. Turned out well, even though I'll need to take better photos of it later ...

Speedy on a grey lizard strap with blue contrasting stitch. Moving toward leather and the bracelet for cooler months...
