The "town watch" choice for today, an Illinois No. 606 Capitol model, 21-jewels, three adjustments from 1920 with the neato "Red Dot" vitreous enamel dial.

New shirt. I love airliners from bygone eras, especially Constellations and all flying boats. Airplanes worthy of a Mad Dog to pilot them!

I hope you feel better soon. Having Covid one is too many times, in my opinion.

Well thanks I’m happy to report other than three real bad days it was pretty much a flu. I was just reading something that said barring any surprise variants it should work it’s way down to a cold. Not that colds are fun but I’ll take that over this nonsense.

I'd like to see a lume shot of this!

The differences between the 10th and regular Diver One are the addition of a ceramic bezel insert that is fully lumed, box around the date window, and polished case accents.

I also have a yellow D1-500, an M.S.19 (a yearly special edition), a titanium D1-500 with a blue "prototype" dial, and a previous version Diver One 300 (meters) with a blue dial and yellow hands.

My first Zenith, a vintage Sporto. Appears to be NOS as advertised, so it just came back from its first spa visit.

Interesting, you found one identical to mine but a Sporto not a Surf. Does it say Surf on the case back by chance? Such a good looking watch!

Already 100 deg. out here. Hope it doesn’t melt!

I’m wearing my moonswatch today. I like them. I just read another article attacking them followed by a bunch of comments of general hate. I know it’s been discussed adnauseum so I won’t drag it out but I don’t get it. They obviously had no negative impact on omega and I know two people who are happy as hec they got one as they always wanted an omega just couldn’t spend the money on one. I think that factor is cool. And for me it’s just a cool quartz I can put on. I still need to upgrade the strap. I’m always looking for something different and the moonswatch fits the bill. If you don’t like something don’t get it. There are plenty of things I don’t like I just don’t rant about them as my opinion really means little and if anything.
