I ordered the dark blue Ray II having the dial like yours Aarox, but was sent the Kamasu in error. I was charmed enough by the dial upon seeing it in person that I determined to just keep it rather than send it back At the price, I may even order out a black dialed Ray to go with it.

Apparently the three Orient models, Ray, Mako, and Kamasu are all the same basic watch: case and movement, with same straps or bracelets. It's only the dial marker styles that differ.

"Collect all three, kiddies!"

I initially envisioned the watch with its factory bracelet. The Orient bracelet seemed to garner mixed reviews, though I was ok with its appearance. I generally don't care to wear watches with bracelets even though I really like the looks of some watch bracelets. So, I opted to go cheap with the rubber strap. I may scare up an Orient bracelet later or simply order an Uncle Seiko bracelet in a style that catches my attention.
Oh I see. That’s annoying they messed up your order. I wore it on the bracelet for a long time. Although I took the bracelet off long ago I remember it being pretty heavy overall but not uncomfortable. If a Uncle Seiko fits that could be a good solution. I hope I haven’t steered you wrong! Looking forward to some more wrist shots.

A can sitting atop a fencepost...I feel an almost uncontrollable urge to plink it off with a .22 😀

You'd fit right in here on the lane!
Request: lemme finish my beer first.

You took the words right out of my mouth! The Dan Henry is nice to but shame they are only a Mecaquartz as if it were a mechanical I would have one on my arm most days.

Like you, I thought long and hard before getting my reverse panda Gran Turismo and it came down to:

Negatives: Not mechanical.

Positives: Good looking, Great price

Positive plus: No need to wind, no date to change, no time changes (apart from GMT/BST), runs accurately if it’s been sitting in a drawer, no service charges (which is what most of my vintage switcheroos incur). It’s always ready, and good to go.

Aquastar Benthos 500 - gargantuan watch. Just try finding a case back gasket for it! 😁
