I snapped this photo this morning...

...so I think I got it right...

...I'm still honeymooning with this one.

The Moonphase has always been my favourite watch complication, but I've been without one for several years after this watch was stolen...

...I'm very happy to have found what I believe is a worthy successor 😀

A change I have had in mind for some time. I liberated this 14 mm Fix-o-Flex bracelet from another watch, and fitted it to my late ‘40s vintage, 28 mm Mido Multifort bumper automatic.

That beautiful Breitling was stolen? That’s tragic what a nice looking piece. Must have been difficult I had a couple watches of a much lowly nature stolen which still burns me up.

Sorry about your stolen watches, too. There's quite a story behind the Breitling, which mostly turned out OK. My wife gifted me that watch after she spotted it in a jewelry store in Jerusalem (Israel, not the Jerusalem in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Maryland...). It was a bit beat up and not running properly so I had it serviced by Breitling to the tune of about $1,000. A couple of years later, we were back in Jerusalem (of all places) when the watch was lifted by a construction worker that was remodeling the home we were staying in. The watch was insured by Jewelers Mutual and they were very good about handling the claim and helping me get a replacement. I think the watch was insured for about $5,500. Of course, that particular watch model wasn't available at that time, but Jewelers Mutual let me select another Navitimer that was worth approximately the insured value. What was interesting is that the insurer was very accommodating in getting our claim taken care of as soon as possible, and the difficulty was in getting a watch re-seller to agree to be paid by an insurer. It eventually turned out that Tourneau was agreeable to working with me and the insurer and that's how I ended up with the blue Cosmonaute.
