I forget about this neato thread featuring a lot of music to explore. Straightening up the hobby room and listening to this once hugely popular act and album. Popular in homes, college dorms too, and heard endlessly on the AM radio way back when.

^^^ I'll see if I can find this one and give it a listen. Let me know what you think of the one I posted.

Well I am sitting here listening to it, and there is much to like and little to dislike.

The recording I am listening too is the remastered 2019 Sony release which I ripped from a you tube in FLAC format, hard to beleive it was from such an early recording with all the drawbacks that they had, cleaned up so wonderfully.
The only drawer back is the slightly muddy tones in the bass which I would put down to the original mixing.

I also downloaded Bruno Walters Coriolan version too, will give it a whirl after this one.

Something that I listened too yesterday on RNZ concert was this
Gershwin, George orch Grofé: Rhapsody in Blue - Freddy Kempf (pno), Bergen Phil/Andrew Litton (BIS SACD 1940)

I need to find this CD, best version I have heard
