WRULT? (what are you listening to?)

Spent about 30 minutes looking for a specific recording of Beethoven’s 6th. My memory was leading me astray since I though it was a Berlin Philharmonic recording with Herbert von Karajan conducting (I listened to a lot of these back in the day). After hearing some very thin and stodgy versions, I resorted to digging into my old stash of vinyl to confirm the one I was after...

Okay, that’s why! Onto Tidal, et viola...

Walter’s take on this is my favourite, and although the recording has tape hiss, it is the most full and expansive sounding version I’ve heard. Love it!
