Recently added a Nakamichi Dragon to my 80s room. Like so many young GIs stationed in Asia, I bought the silver pieces in 1985 in the Philippines. The Dragon was something I dreamed of then....cost 2500 in 1985. Do the math. Auto azimuth correction. Crazy. Listening to the 80s, of course.
I posted a live version of this a few days ago. He (Al Stewart) played near me not long ago. Always liked his stuff but never really knew much about him. Not that seeing someone onstage gives you much insight into who they are but in many ways he struck me kinda like how Al Jardine struck me. Very happy to have made it in music, very grateful to the people who came to see him and really enjoying ride. He really is a brilliant lyricist.
Good on u. You got some great seats you know someone. Hard to fathom Phil Lesh is 83 and playing at the level he does. He is vastly underrated such a talent in the bass. Did you get a good picture from the Phil Zone?
