The great Lionel Hampton Quartet with Oscar Peterson, Ray Brown and Buddy Rich. Recorded in 1953 and 1954 in NYC, this is one of the best vibe recordings I've ever heard. Pure mono but the energy in the quartet is dynamic. They really don't make them like this anymore.
