I have a lot of Bach mixed in with my I POD library. It’s amazing how well he can follow a ZZ Top track on shuffle(which happened yesterday) . Bach was a rock stah!

We've been to the "Alte Oper" Frankfurt yesterday and enjoyed the "Weihnachtsoratorium" of this very special man, who is, in my opinion, one of the talented composers ever.

Johann Sebastian Bach's music is sometimes difficult to understand.

But once you've come to the point, you'll find he's one of the greatest musical genies of all times.

His Christmas Oratorio is simply beautiful. Johann Sebastian Bach's complete work is a chapter of 170 CDs, while he only got 65 years old. Bach's work should be sent to outer space, just to to show what human beings were able to do.

New music... Sturgill Simpson “Sound And Fury” ... The Black Keys “Lets Rock” and a reissue of “No Other” by Gene Clark. All killer! Sturgill, keep giving the finger to the corporation! It’s glorious! Black Keys return to basics. Gene Clark was a tragic genius.
Love that Gene Clark album, a true great

Bought it after seeing the Laurel Canyon film. Listening to it after Sturgil’s lovey but angry bombast and Black Keys R&B didn't do it justice. It rewards multiple listens for sure.

Astounding brilliance. Like everyone else I must have heard this dozens of times, but this is like hearing it for the first time.

PS: This kid is totally enjoying himself BTW. How could he not?

Slightly off thread but that won't be a first on this forum, tidying out the loft and came upon this old radio from way back inserted some fresh batteries and blasting out 'Coldplay' good style, now I just have to find the power cord 🤔

Old Sony kitchen radio ... just sprayed contact cleaner on the volume control. Still sounds great. And an old Realistic weather radio. That has been superseded by weather apps sadly.

Thanks for mentioning the volume control as the Sony volume is a bit iffy, will try contact cleaner 👍

Some of my listening in the last day or so, some virtuoso piano recordings from 1923-35.
