Had a gin and tonic, might have a Clare Riesling in a bit. Was thinking of this rather tasty Grand Cru from Ay but might pay to wait until my wife is feeling less off colour...
Try the Abuelo 12 before you make a decision on this rum. Found that the 12 was the best when in Panama, had the same as above and found it too intense compared to the 12. The Abuelo 7 was the most commonly drank by locals and I would still drink and enjoy it above the Centuria Funny story whilst in Panama I gave a 1litre bottle of the cheapest Abuelo to a worker for all he's help over the 5 or so weeks and he put it in he's bag in the container they were using to get changed. Half way through the day one of the newer guys that had only been there a few days was acting strange and doing some funny stuff. Their boss on looking into it found he had necked 3/4 of he's coworkers gift prior to the lunch break. One of the older guys never turned up one day as he had been shot 5 times in the leg in a gang shooting he walked in between accidentally on he's way to the laundromat. ( was on the Colon side of Panama )
Centered seemed to be the crowd favorite. A bit lighter on the tongue but a fuller flavor and very well balanced. It was my second favorite behind Tenshen which was much drier with flavors that opened up over time. Can’t recall individual flavors at the moment as I am now drinking this to recover
My wife thought it a little too intense, sometimes it almost tasted like a very dry cider, but I was sold Amazing that it is his basic cuveé. Benoit certainly got another fan yesterday
too many reds today to enumerate here as we partake in a wine/cognac expo in Strasbourg..going home with us are a few Bordeaux bottles and one Cognac.. the 57 with faux patina on the wrist is very appropriate for the occasion
Try Mexican Sprite next time. Mexican Coke will do, too, though not quite as effective. You want sugar, not corn syrup!
Tomintoul (10yrs) Single Malt. It's clean and creamy with hints of citrus and toffee with a long somewhat light spicy finish. I had this last night and am looking forward to later this afternoon. Oh yes ... this afternoon ... so far away!
On my way home today, I grabbed a few bottles for my own private tasting event over the house this weekend...

Willett Pot Still Reserve It’s good if you can get it under 45$ Bottle looks twice as much and promises a lot. Nothing wrong with it per se but the finish is not as good as the bottle promised. Good nose and somewhat unique flavor profile, pepper and more corn then I was expecting. 46% so I might test it out in some whisky forward cocktails. Makes an awesome gift... which mine was
