Testing the "Gose" waters. Apparently these are all the rage however I have been quite hesitant. I do not like sour beers and have been told these are sour. However this particular one is quite enjoyable. Certainly tart and sour however not over powering. Putting it on my "buy again" list

Sours can be hit or miss, some are an acquired taste... lots of junk ones right now as they are in vogue, and are rushing junk to market.

I'm forcing myself to try some. Good or bad, I'm forcing it down.

This one I almost dumped after the first sip though. But I powered through it. And after the overpowering sourness of the first sip I began to taste other flavors. Hints of berries and mint are what I experienced. Not sure if I'll get it again but it wasn't as bad as my last few sour experiences

If you happened to pick that up in VT and haven't yet been, check out their brewery, great food, excellent beer.

Little Balvenie tonight. For the record Scotch pairing with food is not my cup of tea. The 21 year old Port Finished was a crime against nature not to enjoy alone.

Balvenie Double Wood is and always has been their true star.
