Might have to go get a bottle of that for the cold months ahead. Been a long time since I've had a top shelf rum.

Meanwhile, I'm still working on that magnum of 2008 Hourglass Blueline. 1.5L is a lot of wine for one person.

Is it really? It made me do a mental computation (fine, if I were being honest, I used my phone's calculator 馃槦 ). I've been in liquid lunches / dinners with only 4-6 of us splitting 8-10 wines. That means every person would average approx. 1.4 liters. Of course, these things usually last 3-4 hours over several dishes of food, making the wine consumption seem effortless. Or are you chugging that magnum on its own?! 馃槈

At home after work (9 PM closing), I drink a glass as a stress relieving tonic. Maybe a glass and a half at most. A magnum lasts a week easily.

Out with friends at dinner is another story. A magnum between two couples might only last an hour and a half or less.

Just a dram of 12 year old Macallan while at a Chicago Sym Orch concert -- actually quite a fabulous one -- Michael Tilson Thomas conducting Stravinsky, Saint-Saens, and Prokofiev's Romeo & Juliet....

I would have been happy with decent wine though...this wasn't.
