Had a head to head 2001 Cab-parison last night: Shafer Napa and Arrowood Speciale Reserve. The Wine Gods reached down and touched California that year. 馃憤

O'hara's, an Irish red...

馃榾

Damn, you have just reminded me how good Killian's Red is and now I want one! We can't get it here in the UK, or if we can it won't be on draught which is defo the way to drink it. The other American beer I miss is Lone Star.

Not actually drinking either of these tonight but we've been saving them for some time (note the dust) for a special occasion - can't get either one again:

No Boats On Sunday....

Very refreshing on a hot day, and we have had a lot of hot days recently. Not overly sweet as I find many ciders to be, and a little dangerous as it goes down very easy. It's quite popular in our area and some stores are having trouble keeping it in stock.

Killian's Red was a staple with my group a while back along with JW Dundee Honey Brown and Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout.

Never had that one actually I think they just started bringing it into the US. Thanks another to put on my list lol.

They changed ownership a few months back with plans to distribute in the US. Traditionally most of their production went to blends, no idea they got it over that fast.

Great cider. Made in Nova Scotia. Great stuff coming out of the Maritimes!

Not a big fan of California wines, but I'm told these are pretty "fair". Maybe a prime Cowboy steak tonight 馃榾

You've got some KILLER vintages of Bordeaux! Was the Ch. Beychevelle 1982 or 1882? (Hahaha - could be 1882 from the looks of that label! 馃槣) Did the Lynch Bages still retain it's pencil shavings smell?

What year was the Faiveley CdC? Recently tried a 2002 and it wasn't quite ready yet. Got my 2009's buried deep.

And of course, '07 is a favorite for Pr眉m in this house. Just drank a G-H Kabinett last week. 馃憤
