This beast made from a tiny vineyard (468 vines) planted about 90 years before the Zenith was made. Quite an heirloom vineyard ... the wine is a Barossa Cab, total production 760 bottles, this is the second vintage (fruit previously blended away by a big winery). Previous vintage was the best Cab I tasted last year and my job is as a wine buyer. Have only just opened this one, fingers crossed.

Another new flavor found, Oban Little Bay 😀 TGIF!!
.

The little bay is a quality dram, as is the 18 year. If you like to try the smaller releases I'd recommend the 12 yr Lagavulin LE.

Yeah, that pretty much is my point of view. Arrogant Bastard is my version of a "lite" beer.

But that's part of the reason I'm 30+ pounds overweight, eh?

My version of a lite beer is a Manhattan made with bourbon instead of rye, and is accompanied by a few more pounds overweight than that!

I did enjoy the Little Bay, the Lagavulin goes into a peat territory that I tend to stay away...😬

I'm going a little light tonight.

We like 312 quite a lot, as well as Oberon...my wife is often in Michigan where she can pick up these, since we don't get them here in Canada...

Tonight's fare to go with dinner at Il Fiore:

2003 JJ Prüm Wehlener Sonnenuhr Auslese - never ever disappoints.
2005 Joseph Drouhin Cote de Beaune Villages - quite surprising for it's level; we liked it more than many 1ere Crus.
2003 Domaine Faiveley Echezeaux Grand Cru - not as bold as we were hoping coming from a very ripe year but nonetheless technically well balanced.

It was a good night!

Currently drinking a favorite summertime beer out of California that finally made it to Arizona: Cali Creamin from Mother Earth Brewing while opening a box of goodies from Martinelli Winery.
