driveway social distance scotch tasting with my drinking buddies. excellent!! Fruit bomb whisky out of Australia. Excellent but maybe not the Port cask finish. The base is amazing, but they offer it in multiple finishes. Port while great may not be the best. now this is the shiznit. Omg it’s an amazing Speyside if I blind tasted id put it at 100-120 a bottle. it’s 40-50 usd and a steal. Complex 12 year old from an ancient hogshead cask. I’m buying the rest out that I can get my hands on. I don’t put many things as a must buy but this is.
Making waves on Sunday with Sharps Sea Fury - nice malty beer which is going down rather well - cheers everyone. .
There must be as many gin stills in New Zealand now as craft beer makers - just the ticket on a 25C Sunday afternoon...
Killed this soldier.... killed some small batch American whisky... Forgot how amazing this is. I’ll admit it got lost in the back of my Scotch case. This is a selected 10 year peated Bunnahabbin finished in a sherry butt. My god it’s amazing. raisins and peat and honey. Cherry on the nose and this amazing Smokey Peary finish. this is a pre Scotch renaissance bottling. This is just stupid good.
A free beer from Stuttgart curtesy of the USAF - one way to beat Brexit I guess. I did not know I would qualify for an airdrop. I have avoided wheat beers for years thinking they make my ears go bright red ….. will see how this goes down / cant refuse a gift. This is a very cloudy / zesty and fruity beer, vivid orange - going down rather well after some garden work on a sunny weekend. They might still be overpaid and over here - but that is fine if they bring beer / friendly invasion ...Cheers everyone.
Any sherry drinkers here? My eyes have really opened to dry sherry recently. You have to get used to it, if you are drinking it as “normal wine” and not just an aperitif but it’s sooo good My local wine pusher recommended this and it is top notch
