Not quite today - but over Easter... Fabulous little champagne house affiliated to one of the majors. A son of the family was traveling in New Zealand, met owners of a a top-end wine store and a small quantity makes its way here every year. Vintage for less than NV from anyone else!

First day of slight lockdown relaxation. Was able to have a mate over for a couple of bottles, and very nice they were too.

Double Negroni.

digging the Dolin sweet vermouth, not liking the St. George Terrior Gin... to much rosemary’fot a Negroni... Martini or Bloody Mary on the other hand it would rock.

Some kind of Pimm’s creation for the missus. Mezcal Paloma for me.

Salud.

What are you drinking today? We have a WRUW and WRULT thread, so I thought a thread for the beverage of your choice would be interesting. In honour of Dean Martin, who said "I feel sorry for people who don't drink. When they wake up in the morning, that's as good as they are going to feel all day", let's restrict it to those beverages of the alcoholic variety.

I'll start with this single malt, Cardhu 12 yr. Well suited for a mid-afternoon taste. Nothing too complex, but smooth with a bit of sweetness. Certainly good but not great.

Thanks, was a big Expos fan. Saw lots of games at Jarry Park when I was very young and then Olympic Stadium. But a lifelong Islanders fan, never liked the Habs for some reason. What a powerhouse they were though in that 4 cup run before the Isles began their run.

Got this single barrel (“The Irishman”) at the distillery in Louisville earlier this year...seems like ages ago.

I will try this tonight. Fleury is not my favourite champagne normally but generally alright. This however, I am very excited about. Aged for 192 months and degorged last May.
