2019......You like them Young Stuart 😀 you at least have to wait for the glue on the labels to dry.

Times are hard and reduced to the dregs 🙁

Going with a Gibson as I make my three sons Buffalo wings....nice to have all three sons home, despite the circumstances. Cheers, to your good health!

Are you gonna strain scotch thru the mask?

You're giving me ideas. Might even look forward to wearing this thing.

Just finished an hour of skating. Time for a cold, delicious summer favorite... Even if it isn't summer yet... And even though people think summer is cancelled... Here I am, victorious

Having a very nice lazy Sunday … Have a sunny beer on me ( and a toast to all the people doing the hard jobs / working hard keeping everyone safe - I do feel very lucky these days)

Just left home for the first time in a week or two for provisions.
First up:

Uhh the Rochefort. One of my favourites 👍

I also visited my local beer bar the other day. They offer take-away during Corona and I must support them.

Mmmm... Jever. My absolute favourite pilsner. The box is almost empty now, so I will soon need to go again 😁

Steak night. Labels on bottles that sit on the bottom row of our wine cooler do not do well, too much humidity likely

Maybe keep that row empty?

About 40 years ago I built a passive cellar at the home of my parents--cooled by evaporation. It worked beautifully. But at one point, ten years in, we tasted something off in one of the bottles. Opened another. Same thing. Opened a third. Same bloody offness! Finally, we figured it out: it was a few cardboard boxes in the cellar--the humidity drew out from them a strange cardboard odor that every bottle breathed in. We pulled out the cardboard and in a few months the wine recovered.

Moral: never put cardboard in a wine cellar. If you have mold, you have a problem, and should address it--it shouldn't be a problem at 60% rh--so maybe put a gauge in your cooler in addition to keeping the bottom rod empty?

Yea, I think we’ll move them and see if that helps. We’ve gone thru multiple bottles in the past few weeks and have an unacceptably high level of open spots in the cooler!
