House guest gave this as a gift of gratitude. Have always been put off by scotch, this is damn good stuff.

Went to my sister's & B.I.L.'s house for some grilling & drinking, so I brought one of my better steak wines:

Thanks to @Matty01 again. I have wanted to learn more about fortifieds for a while. mrsCanberra generally doesn't like fortifieds, describing them as "cough syrup," but she likes this. Nowhere near as sweet as many others. A nice nutty flavour. Made me grab some peanuts.

Glad you like! ...a good chunk of older material in the blend, giving it that nutty/slightly sour aspect I reckon, the sourness balanced out by just enough sweetness to make it all work but not so much that one glass has you dreaming of wearing oversided invictas on both wrists ...

Sour. That's the other flavour I was struggling to name. MrsCanberra picking up cheese tomorrow.

Nice! I suspect parmesan/stilton/applewood smoked cheddar would work pretty well but im not sure which would work best... Salted roast almonds, green apple slices, jamon a no brainer tho...

Yes - don't drink and drive. You'll spill your wine if you hit a pothole.

Not Two Buck Chuck, but pretty close. Ran out of Kirkland, so had to settle for Sam's Club special deluxe!
On my motorcycle lift while working on a customer bike. Yeah, man. Your carbs are perfect :taunt:

I'm guessing "drunk" being the operative word. :)

I'm a big fan of Graham's 10yr tawny, so I thought I'd give this a try. Not my favourite LBV port, but it definitely won't go to waste.
