I do see it as marketing, but I’m not personally offended. The Nikka brand makes really good whiskeys and gin. I have that bottle and it’s an excellent pour.
Weller 107 antique is a fav of mine, you have a great collection. I like Knob and Blantons too, and for a more wallet friendly and readily available McKenna and Buffalo Trace.
I wish Buffalo trace were more readily available here. For whatever reason we have seen an uptick in Weller’s and Eagle Rare here lately, but I can’t find a bottle of simple Buffalo Trace around anywhere. I say this as it’s my preferred “everyday bourbon” when I can find it.

@Foo2rama I would love to try an age statement Hibiki. I got a couple new bottles from Dublin today. Group pic with my fav Irish bottles. Another wine finish a Green Spot, but I’m trying the new for me Glendalough 13 in the pic. It’s like choc milk lol. I love Irish whiskey.

Thank you for confirming that I'm not crazy....kept looking for anything related to Bourbon in that post and could find nothing... I guess understanding the difference between whisky and bourbon was not in the university curriculum in Kentucky.
The only thing we knew about whiskey in Kentucky was Bourbon. I learned the difference several years later when I was in the bar business. BTW: Please note that my response was for this scan that is all Bourbon "Whiskeys"
..obviously the judges here sampled a very small fraction of what's available and missed some of the really best Whiskies of 2018! they just got a redo in their homework from me!
Had that last night, after being roped into going to a club. Small glass cost $75, and it was too late once we found out. Not worth it
Not that kind of club thankfully - I wouldn't be caught dead in one of those. Sure, it's rare, but I'll bet they had it way before prices went up like that. Should have mentioned it was super expensive before selling it to us
