Foo daddy likes !!!

Sometimes great beers get lost in my cellar and by the time I find them too much time has passed.

NOT the case with this bad boy.

Absolutely delicious and I’ve tried most.

Cheers!

A new Bourbon for me tonight; Buffalo Trace's entry level single-barrel. Medium-sweet with a smooth finish. Nothing really complex, but very drinkable.

a smooth finish.

Bacchus Flemish Old Brown

This ones a dark Ale, but it’s so fruity and sour, doesn’t seem like one. The sour is strong, but puts a smile on my face.

Some of the good stuff

Roger Brun La Pelle grand cru Ay ... which I import ... picked up a trophy the next day as best oaky/toasty champagne in the world

Galah sparkling Shiraz 1998 ..amazing (wendouree Shiraz liqueredd with old Vintage fortified shiraz) still very lively

Domaine Weinbach Alsace Riesling ... tasty, though I prefer Alsatian Gewurz

Paracome Gruner, good

SC Pannel Grenache, major award winner but just ok, not especially complex or interesting

Chateau Talbot Saint Julien 98, corked

Carruades Lafite, decent but non descript

Leoville Barton Saint Julien 95, pretty good, just not amazing

Metala 71 vintage fortified, past its peak but still lovely

Hi all,

Together with a friend of mine - who has a diploma as sommelier - we came up with a list of wines we will have to buy/drink during Xmas holidays.

I thought to share this list with you, hoping you will appreciate it.

We are not owners of the website below, we do not get any commission from recommending these products, and we did not receive any kind of gift to do this.

We are just 2 Italian guys in love with good wine and this forum!!!

Below a list for a budget of 100 euro (circa) and is perfect for a dinner based on meat.

Sangiovese di Romagna: https://www.callmewine.com/sangiovese-godenza-noelia-ricci-2015-P8827.htm
Barabresco: https://www.callmewine.com/barbaresco-rabaja-cortese-2015-P11814.htm
Champagne for a special toast

Cleaning out my stash to give away the Ardbegs and Laphroig bottles to my brother in law as I don’t like the peat. I had most everything out to get to the back where they were hidden.

There more than this, prolly 10-15 bottles more, but this is what happens when you hang out on this thread for 6 months. I used to be content with a Manhattan or MakersMark straight. Damn you @Foo2rama @alam etc.

sounds like you have created a vacuum issue in your storage area that now must be fixed... 😗 and here's a suggested placard to display outside your storage area

That George T Stagg is a great pour! How many bourbon drinkers we got on here?

I stash alot of Weller 12, A107, Blantons, Belle Meade, Kentucky Owl, EHT and 1792.

I was very disappointed in Weller12. I found 1792 to be the best for the bucks.
Blanton's and Michener's have always been my favorites. Then there's always Pappy 😀

Being a graduate of the University of Louisville and knowing that only "real" bourbon is distilled in Bardstown, KY, this is rather disturbing 🤦
