Redbreast is my fav, I have all current age statements and the Lusteau edition too. This cask strength 12 beats them all though (even the 21 yr). My very favorite pour of anything. I do add a few drops of water as the abv is 58%, it’s just phenomenal flavor and zero burn.

Lol, you did. I’m embarrassed at the collection size.

I’m going to get into some cognacs next lol. Never tried that.

@Faz can’t go wrong with Blantons.

I’m having a Scotch tonight. I sourced this one from the UK. I only see the 10 yr here in WA state.

Any recommendation on mid level Rye anyone? I had the whistlepig which worked well. I like to make Manhattans with a good Rye whisky.

@Toishome nothing wrong with that glass bud. How do you like that Irish whiskey, what would you compare it to? Thanks

Honestly I use Bulleit Rye find a kick ass vermouth and great bitters. I’ve found the vermouth is the bigger influence then mid level to high level eye.

As for the glass he’s responding to me giving him flak for not have glen cairns.

@Foo2rama I didn’t think of Bulleit, I’ll snag a bottle tomorrow. What’s the best Vermouth? I have Dolin rouge right now and a bottle of Averna too (for black Manhattans). I haven’t been doing as many mixed drinks since I got into Scotch...which I blame you for lol.

I’ve been using sweet red vermouths cousins and playing with sweet Italian Amaro’s. Razzmatazz and Punt e Mas, mostly because I’m lazy. I’ll get a good vermouth recommendation for you, as I just buy different ones and try and find one I like. FYI keep Amaro and Vermouth in the fridge.

Excuse my makeshift cognac snifter. Tom and Jerry batter is for some experiments before the holidays image.jpg

@Foo2rama is not a big fan of my cheap Ikea glasses :D:D
Its a very tasty whiskey. Lots of fruit. I would compare it to a Glenlivet. I think is great for its price point. Its $45 Canadian. For that kind of money we dont have many choices up here for a decent whiskey. Only down side I would say is the age. It does taste young. Alcohol taste is a bit strong.

I’m just saying if you’ve got a Sky Dweller and a Platona, ( or friends with them) and ask what else could one ask for... you can ask for Glen Cairns it’s minimal cost to greatly increase enjoyment, whisky ( and most spirits) just taste better in them. ;)

All love! and I’m just jealous as I love both of those Rolex. Anyone that has ever asked “why that Daytona?” has never seen one in person. Just a stunning piece. And the Skydweller is an insanely cool movement and dial design from a company that rarely does interesting things with movements and never goes outside the box on dials.
