I like having the box and papers, that's just me, although not all my watches have these, if I had the option I would take it. It's not an investment thing, I've never sold a watch and for now don't intend to
Depends on what is important to you. Me personally, I like having full sets. Maybe it’s the OCD in me but I like stashing away the boxes in neat stacks. I do the same for my sneakers. Maybe I have issues?
Only an issue if you go into meltdown if you get a scuff on a sneaker or scratch on your watch.
I was on vacation with my ex 20 years ago and brought along a 1940’s Linhof 4x5 Field camera that was in beautiful shape. I was setting up a picture in front of a beautiful vista and the original cable release broke. I lost my shit and started cussing and fussing over it- my wife yelled “you are ruining vacation!”.
I never brought a delicate vintage camera with me on a vacation again.
Put it this way: If the watch is a lifer, in 20 YEARS, will you wish you had the box papers and how much difference will 450 be then?

Buy $450 worth of wine and cellar it for 20 years would be more enjoyable 😗
What does it cost to get an extract from Omega? if that's cheaper and someone really wanted "papers" that would be the better go, right?
Can you (or someone) point me to where I can line up an extract? I'm having issues with the Omega website...
