Worth the wait from my Watchmaker!

I dropped 5 watches, a mix of modern and vintage, off to my watchmaker about 4 months ago for service. Little did I know, he was about to become a father a few weeks after I dropped them off. So, with time off to enjoy and help with the baby, he had quite the backlog when he returned to work. This is a father and son business, so his father helped out and actually did the service on my 145.012-68 Speedy. I got the call this morning that they were finally done and I drove the hour or so to pick them up so I could get them before the holiday. Glad to have them back in my hands!

Very very nice. I like the simple dial of the Explorer, is that a common dial for this model?

That's a solid collection! What's the reference is that older Seamaster? I don't recognize that model.

Absolutely gorgeous. They look to have done some fine work, and now you have one more thing to be thankful for! 😀

It's a 1016 from 1969. It has the frog foot dial. I actually have 2 of this model. This one is a daily wearer, the other is a safe queen😁

It's a 166.062. It came in either blue or burgandy.

Just curious, why does the speedy trilogy need service? Any issues on yours? I have one too, service this early makes me a tad nervous.

It's not the trilogy. Rather, the 3594.50. It's around 20 years old.
