Worst Redials

I've watched this thread for a while and finally found something to contribute. Seller doesn't try to hide the fact that it has been redone - there's no point trying.

Another "interesting" colorway to say the least. This one takes the cake for the worst polishing I've personally seen on a live listing. The case lines are about as sharp as a balloon. An hour to go on the auction and it's fetching over $600 like this. Yikes.

The following is just...🤦

"The dial, hour, and minute hands are original and in excellent condition. The original dial may have been refinished sometime in its history."

HOW is the dial original and excellent but maybe refinished less than a sentence later?!?!

In respect to the seller, I haven't posted a pic as their post is new and active on another forum but yeah, it was refinished. Possibly by a 5th grader with magic markers...🤮

Vintage Longines Congest. Such a shame.

I don’t understand why these people do their redial painting using their weaker hand. Surely that’s got to be to their disadvantage?

Don’t know what’s more surprising, the current bid of $3250 or the fact that the reserve price hasn’t been met.

Update: seems the watch sold for $3500 😵‍💫

Clearly not the worst, but bad enough to join this club. Maybe what would be interesting and helpful is a thread for really good redials?
