Are these guys only paying a few dollars for the redial? It's not that difficult to get a redial that at least has a passing resemblance to the original.
Maybe we could benefit from a “good redials” thread that would show the good jobs that have been done. This thread is much fun but you almost get the feeling that a redial will inevitably end up in disaster.
I am biased, having bought a redialed 1958 arrowhead Connie myself. To my amateur eyes it is indistinguishable to an original. Of course the collector value is diminished. I can live with that.
"Up for bidding is my stunning Vintage Seiko Navigator Timer that’s has a very rare dial I have never seen on any other Navigator Timor." ...I'm speechlessly trying to understand 'why'....
It’s a GMT. The little red hand rotates about the dial once every 24h. The speechless bit is : the bezel has the adjustable gmt time (1-24h), so why hardcode it on the dial too???? Meth????

Apologies if this has already been posted, but I really got a kick out of this one. Seller does mention that dial was "professionally refinished." https://www.ebay.com/itm/GENTS-VINT...sh=item48a98702ff:g:mjQAAOSwGBhadcyM#viTabs_0Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
