Worm index on EW?

Hi OF,
I saw some threads talking about "worm" index, often on 145 and 105.012 series.
But I'm wondering if this tritium evolution could be possible on 105.003.
Photos are from a -65 (cropped, so low quality...)
It looks very strange to me eyes, but I'm wondering if I make hundred of km to go to see it... Willing to get your ideas about that.... Old-fashioned relume turning bad? Or natural evolution...?

Tough one but I'm leaning towards it’s not original lume. Or…it’s not too attractive.

I agree on one point, it is not attractive. Especially these dark spots on some of the index... So ugly that it could explain that it cannot be done on purpose...

Look at this 8;00 marker:

It’s missing the lume so obviously you can see underlying print in one part of the proximal section. I mean, I’ve seen wobbly, but if this is original, it’s a Friday afternoon “I’m late to meet my mates at the pub” job.

Not an expert, but from what I've read on this forum, lume during that periord can be less than stellar.

On a 105.003-65, I would not be surprised to see this lume condition pass as original.

Im with the watchmaker heavy handed relume team on this one.
I bet that looks like little sausages for lume in real life 😗

Reading about EW:s, they often had "wobbly" and uneven lume.
The posted pictures look like these, plus some dirt/aging etc.
Had it been a relume, they would have been more even and cleaner.
And relume often have some shine on the surface..

So I vote for original.

I agree not the best years for application……But not squeezed out of a toothpaste tube 😉

Agreed. Other examples I’ve seen has the wobbles, but not quite the thickness of application we see here. A tough one, though, as evidenced by the on-going debate.

Look at the 3:00 luminous: an obvious case of the wobbles. But the lume on the rest of the dial is evenly applied, and you can see the steps:

Very strange, from my research I thought I had understood that wobbly lume was more of a 105.003 thing than other models.. for that i would have voted original, but don't count me among the venerable speedy experts
