When I 1st saw that silver dial one, I thought it was Speedmaster Teutonic dial inside regular Speedmaster case. of course thats not the case, but thats what it reminded me of.

If you think you are a purist and have negative comments text your mother, not me. A true Omega aficionado will know or have the sense to find out about these rare pieces.

Hahaha glad to see this quote made it on OF. This auction was for the dirtiest fake speedmaster ever, love the seller's aggressive and blatant lies to cover for it. Seems to have worked though - what did he make on it, around $3100 AUD?

If I was interested I鈥檇 have to see some proof. The back of the dial is not as I would have expected it.

This is, what has wondered me all the time: technical question: are the dial feet in this backside dial pics. Soldered on? How is that even possible to do after the dial is printed without showing the slightest discolouration in the front side? I thought, these feet are glued in the correct position ? These small dial feet seem not to fit a caliber 321 either.....any ideas? Kind regards. Achim

I did report it to eBay several days ago, seems the auction ran successfully to end though...

I know several people who had feet fixed on a dial. For sure not every tinkerer can doit it without leaving a trace on the opposite/visible side, but believe me it鈥檚 totally possible.

And unlike with 3M double-face tape, there鈥檚 no struggle to have the hands fitted properly ::rimshot::

If the machine actually works...I have one (not the exact one shown here, but one that was commercially produced) and honestly it doesn't work worth a shit. I have yet to successfully solder a dial foot on that I would consider to be solid enough to use in a watch, and I've spent hours trying.

I've tried using different flux, different solders, different cleaning methods...with no luck at all. Supplier was zero help...it's a brick sitting in my shop. Other watchmakers I've talked to have similar feelings - have never been able to get this done in a way they felt secure with.

I've also tried hand soldering, laser welding, etc. with results that would certainly damage a dial. All I can say is, if someone buys one of these expecting it to be as easy as they indicate...buyer beware...
