While I loathe the idea of handing over one of my watches to a mugger, I'll gladly do so if I find myself in that situation. I value my life and my family far more than any watch in my collection. False bravado sounds great on an internet post, but I suspect that it will get you injured or killed in the real world.
Sadly, many now just shoot first and ask questions later. Happened to a semi-famous rapper. His girlfriend went live on Instagram at a restaurant. He was known to wear expensive watches. Criminals rolled up and started shooting. They got some cheap junk instead of his prized pieces. So, yeah, totally not worth it. AND a big reason why we say to never post GTG posts while the event is active.
