For 20K USD, the dirt is included! I'd say: a bargain
Also included: unoriginal crown!

If at least it had good provenance, say the dirt was dead skin cells from a celebrity...

But given the sellers other listings, I'm kind of guessing it's a mistake.

15k for a 105.012 in very uninspired condition, with a replacement chrono hand and crown. A collector's dream!

The item description is what gets me though:

"This is the same serial number Neil Armstrong wore on his space missions in the years leading up to the first walk on the moon when a later model was brought along, thus making this example, an extremely rare "Pre-moon."

He also describes the dial as "no less than perfect" and says that the dent in the bezel is "unnoticeable to the eye." Don't send him any lowballs though. He knows the value of this watch.

Well, the guy does considers all offers. Can't blame him for trying 😗

I do dislike the downright lies, like "all being original" if hands have been replaced. Also the incorrect use of "provenance." So often misused. Everything is a provenance these days, it seems. "Provenance: Bought at Target 2006 and owned by me since then, a neewbe collector." :whipped:

I'd like to think that in the majority of cases, the seller just doesn't know any better. Lots of "all original" pre moons on ebay with replacement parts. Mine was "all original" and had a replacement crown/bezel. The seller just wasn't a serious collector and didn't know. Of course, he wasn't trying to sell it for 15k. Just goes to show that it pays to do your research.
