Just learned that Omega is organising an event for (press and) enthusiasts in Biel on the 15th to 17th of January, asking people to mark their 'lunar calendars' for it. So, I'm putting my money on Tuesday the 16th as opposed to the 2nd. 😉
I told my OB I want one. They said they can make it happen as soon as they find out what it is and when it will released. No one knows yet though. I have faith in my SA at the OB as he came through for my 321 in 6 months and my Snoopy in just under a year.
M M.AlessaIf the white dial speedmaster is a regular production, I'll wait 2 years and get one with a hefty discount one the hype slows down. I have the 1861 and 3861 (white face) will be a perfect combo.
Some folks had that same strategy for the Snoopy 50th and Ed White 321, 'why go thru the hassle of deposits, putting your name on a list and waiting, I'll just wait a year or two and bag these at a hefty discount on the secondary market or at an AD with a nice discount after the hype dies down'. Yeah, right.
Hope not...
Hope that Omega learnt from the last Olympic LE disaster... The Tokyo games which never happened...
Definitely a photoshop, based on the lugs.
Someone probably cut the pic from DC's wrist and pasted it on a stock 3861 pic.
Uh oh, if the Daniel Craig worn watch is one of a series for the Paris Games next year it may not be available for general purchase, looks like the hype train may be returning to the station.
Omega released a LE Seamaster Olympic series back in 2018, identical black dials on all five versions but with 'Seamaster' in five different colors with matching color bands and colored aluminium ring on the back. 2,032 pieces each + 100 sets of the five watches, all still available on the US website. This white dial Speedmaster may be in the same vein in light of @STANDY 's previous post of the colored NATO straps which are shown on Omega's website as a 'Paris 2024' item. This may just be the latest five Olympic Speedmaster variations release after the 2020 Tokyo Speedmaster series. For sale only in Paris like the Tokyo models? We will find out soon enough.
