I've said it before, I'll say it again, many (most?) of those that want to throw their money at Omega now for a white dialled Speedmaster will NOT follow through with a sale when offered the opportunity to buy one. If March 5 is the launch date that is only 13 days away, let's see what the day brings.
I suspect you could be right. I’m certainly not looking for another white (ish) dial speedy, unless there’s some details about it that are just too compelling. I’m not expecting that though, and so if it’s just a white dial version of the std moonwatch at the same price, I won’t be buying.

Still going to enjoy the event though 😀

If it's a standard issue model, I'll just wait 2-3 years until there's an good supply on the second hand market and pick it up 30% off list.

A few days ago, the 35752000 "ivory replica* returned to the collection. I find this ivory white wonderful. I hope it is a similar white to that of the new albino.

The ecru/beige/creme/ivory dial of the 3575 and the Albino are the nicest looking 'white' dial Speedmasters, imo. They appear white in pictures but put a piece of white paper next to it and it isn't even close to being white.

Depends on the price and if it's limited vs regular production. Limited production over $10k or regular production under $10k they'll sell. Regular production over $10k it won't.

We will know soon. I think it will be slightly more than the standard speedy. I can’t imagine they will have any problem selling them in droves.

Just had an invite land from my local OB (London) for Tuesday 5th March for an "evening of Omega". Let's see but sounds like we should know some answers v soon.
Will see you there. Was in the OB yesterday and received an invite. Looking forward to it.

Even though I am not looking to buy this, I sure do love a new Speedmaster rollout.

From what I heard from my OB:
* 3 watches will be presented;
* (at least one of those, the one they think I’ll like) has a white enamel dial;
* it will be less expensive than the latest Apollo 8 - I explicitly asked.

I am super curious to see what they’ll present.

Cheaper than the A8 is not surprising, thats a ceramic watch which will always be more than steel.

All the random rumors floating around seem to point at a normal production 3861 with a white dial.

Or maybe thats just what everyone is hoping for and the ADs/OBs are happy to entertain such wishes until they get real information

If March 5 is the big day we only have a week to find out the big reveal(s). But then we have the rumour of a price hike on March 1st to throw some water on it.

Hmm. White enamel sounds expensive. But I can’t wait for the reveal

If enamel it most likely is a cold enamel, not very expensive and you can make them in volume. However, if the surprise is a true fired enamel, that's another story.

For the last couple of weeks we've been hearing of the big reveal on March 5th, special invitations sent out, OBs saying the white dial will be unveiled at that point, everybody juiced up......and now, all of sudden, people are 'hearing' that that won't happen. Irrational exuberance, again.
