As one of the past organizers of the Mid-Atlantic G2G, I’m going to suggest Saturday, December 2nd in Baltimore for 2023. Thoughts?
Just pencilled it in on my calendar.

Interesting idea. That's the same date pretty much, no?
That date was originally selected becuase it was after thanksgiving and 3 weeks before Xmas so it worked for the majority of people who wanted to attend. I felt having it then still felt very holiday festive but didn’t slam into obscene family commitment time.

Let’s start by bringing your Porsche back from the dead, then we’ll work on Rodania 😉
I finally talked to a shop about having them take over. I should be getting it transported in mid-June. I should have it back in time to drive it to Balmore in early Decemeber.

Yeah- we just saw your potential swag 🙄 perhaps you can do something crafty with them! Like cufflinks, earrings, charm bracelets….

Cockrings? Gotta admit, it would be memorable.

How about custom pins with our favorite mystery mascot? ::stirthepot::

I was hoping for Towboat's avatar, please?

@Mad Dog ... if you're attending (and I hope you are) and we are flying in from New Mexico, favor: can you fly us in if I rent a plane or at minimum, if we fly in commercially and you drive over from Cincy -- can you pick us up from the aeroplot in your Crown Vic?

I think you are confusing this OF with the other OF on the internet…once again.

I only caught wind of it too late last year but I'm definitely gonna try to make it this year!

So, security - I assume with all the Porsches (I intend to add mine to the mix!) the parking at the place is garaged and non-valet?

Security for the attendees and the watches. Cars, not so much. 😲

Lol- if we use the same venue, small open lot that fills up fast and street parking - but it’s a nice neighborhood with lots of eyes on the street. Besides, the thieves are going after Kia’s and Hyundais right now.

If ya’ll want to make this a car event as well, there is a middle school parking lot down the street where you can do burn-outs and donuts.

Boy is that true. I bought a Kia for my nephew as he's a recent college grad and just starting out. The car is registered and insured in my name and he's listed as the primary driver with the car at his address. He lives in the Fishtown area of Philadelphia and parks on the street. A few months ago he came out to the car in the morning to find the rear window broken and the steering column torn apart. For whatever reason, the would be joyriders decided to leave his car and take another Kia parked down the street. A couple thousand dollars later ($500 deductible for me), the car was back and he now uses a club on the steering wheel pending a computer software upgrade from Kia that will disable the ignition system. And I'll add a shameless plug for Amica, truly a great insurance company (yes, really) that actually does what it says that its going to do and takes care of its policyholders.

No need for a garage -- the nice thing about an older 911 is it easily fits in small parallel parking spaces. I used to drive mine into DC regularly because it was a lot easier to find a parking space compared to my Volvo boat.

Agreed on the non-valet -- I'm not a 'hop out and toss the keys' kind of person. I'd rather drive around and find a space a few blocks away.

Yeah, mine's a 997 so despite the small size it still looks like a 'new' Porsche and I'm more concerned about someone smashing a window to root around hoping I left something valuable in it

Don't worry, my WRX will steal the show. 😎 Actually wait, that'll be @MTROIS.

Everyone has cool, interesting collections, but I can second that MTROIS seems to have a bottomless vault of exceptional speedies, new and old.

I meant his car, but yes, the Speedies too.

Only if no one brings an Evo 😜

...those are the two I was looking at when I was ready to replace the Talon, but my then-wife decided I needed a more 'grown-up' car for the one time a year her parents (who were in their early 50s) might need to ride in it. So I wound up with a Volvo. 🤦 As an engineer, it still hurts to drive a car meant for architects 😲

Shots fired! Na, Evos are kick ass too. The grown-up car on my mind is the original CTS-V with a stick shift. Someone down the road from me has one. My goal is to go through life never owning an automatic vehicle. Wife's car doesn't count. Currently in boy-racer mode with two kid seats in the back. 😎😁

That is just Philly -- and really any big city now. Doesn't take much for the lawlessness to spread like wildfire when left unchecked.
