Why such little interest in Breguet?

I know it's received pretty lukewarm reviews, but I still *really* like the 5517 in titanium.

I like the Type XX, but have no idea what price I should be paying for one. Where is Breguet in the "watch hierarchy"?

According to watch rankings it is a 4 star luxury brand or "high end luxury"

I also have that mind set. I prefer a complicated watch a moonphase or a tourbillion over a diamond or blinblinged watch.

I’ve never owned a Breguet, but I have always considered the brand a superior timepiece and have respected the brand. I have always considered Breguet a dress watch, although I’m aware they make sport models. I never considered their sport models more desirable then other brands. When it came to buying dress watches I looked at Patek and VC which I personally liked better.

No hard feelings Breguet.

Family members of mine have breguet. Generally, it’s when your acceptable price range is beyond $20,000 and are looking into what watches or complications to explore next. They will inevitably find out about the tourbillon and it is then that they land on Breguet.

Also, They know how to treat their VIPs... we had 5 course meals with breguet labeled cigars during holiday last year. Head honchos stopped by to talk about the brand. It’s an experience you don’t get with AP or PP.

No Breguet for me yet... but I thought this was their most interesting release:

Even the buckle is decorated in stones.

Breguet's styling appeals to a declining market. The same can be said with most dress watch lines.

This brands needs to innovate have lines or models for every ocassion. If dress styles are declining then produce less of that and ramp up casual and sporty styles.

While in the same vein, I do find this way more appealing than a Rainbow Daytona.

Ive often wanted a Breguet dress watch, then a vintage Type XX... and instead ended up with this interpretation... I hardly consider it having settled for less!

A year ago I'd have said this was the case, but I feel like there's a building sentiment and interest around dress watches as a lot of collectors are stuck at home, and returning to simpler pieces. Or maybe it's just me?

Tried on the Marine today – pretty interested in the titanium variant, but I'll be damned if the gold wasn't awfully nice.

Breguet and "settled" just don't really go together very well.

Breguet is really just in the portion of the watch market which is not supper hot at the moment. The frenzy is in PP, Rolex and AP sport models. Everything else looks "just like a watch"

A great brand with rich history.
Unfortunately a bit to dressy and outdated for my taste.
Wish they made more sportier watches.

Breguet double tourbillon
Why did they have to use roman numerals? 🤔

Tritium dial hands down.

How can you determine which examples have the Tritium Dial?
I was told Breguet only made the Tritium Dials in the period 1990-1999?
I was also told that brass on the end of one of the crowns was another tell?
Thanks

AFAIK, T dials for this model were made from 1995 up to 1999.
As for the brass cover for the crown, I think this was just done during the first year of production.
